Technical Skills

  • Understand the profit triangle and your store’s performance

  • Performance Management – timely management of all performance issues

  • Understand how to lead different people, able to adapt their style to suit individual colleague needs
  • Manage your time through the day and plan to achieve tasks effectively
  • Plan and execute training for new starters

Practical Experience

  • How to run a shift including opening and closing procedures
  • Using communication such as email/Connect
  • Plan and execute a move
  • Being able to follow evacuation procedures and deal with an incident
  • Complete an SAS audit
  • Minimum 6 months in Supervisor role
  • Had exposure to flexibility, labour management, shrink management, MI reports, merchandising

Duration: 15 months, plus 3-month end-point assessment period

Overview: Suitable for Team Supervisors who have the potential to develop to Assistant Manager/Manager.

Ambitious Team Supervisors will get plenty of value from this course as they’ll build up their knowledge of retail operations. You’ll develop your management skills so you can drive, develop and successfully lead a team.
